Daydreams of A Faerie Queen: Casting Shadows: Backlit

Okay... Here goes nothing. I've chosen to divide these deviations into categories. There's quite a few that are similar, so they shall be grouped together. The entire series shall be dubbed Daydreams of a Faerie Queen, as suggested by the ever wonderful * chocolate-teapot. These three, are Casting Shadows. And dang it for DA not allowing me to have a longer title.

I was playing around with how Lampie (my "helper", i.e. a halogen desk lamp) cast his light over the flowers. These three came out with nice long shadows, which I thought were quite cool.

Canon Rebel, no flash. I like how the lack of flash created the shaded effect in the lower right corner. The color of the flowers almost seems to leach into the white background and create a monotone picture. I did play around with this in photoshop a bit, but mostly to make it look the same as the picture. The odd contrast is really how the print came out. *shrugs*
